Frequently Asked Questions
Unfortunately, negligence and fraud are common occurrences. Pest control companies can be held legally liable and therefore financially responsible for the damages incurred by the property owner and, under appropriate circumstances, may be liable for punitive damages.
How do You Know You Have a Problem?
No one should expect you to be able to identify a termite infestation. However, some indications of a potential problem are:
- Small mud tubes (usually smaller than a pencil) on support piers, foundation walls, along or near the baseboard or around window areas
- Soft areas underneath painted wood surfaces such as baseboards, window and door molding
- Small holes in wall surfaces which on examination have dirt or mud residue
- Weakened floors which feel spongy or cause items in the room to shake when you walk
- Winged, flying insects in large numbers at or near an interior window
- Uneven area beneath the painted sheet-rock surface which is soft to the touch
